Lohri Celebration

The celebration of local festivals makes students keep attached with their rich culture and heritage.

Lohri is a popular winter time Punjabi_folk_festival, celebrated primarily by Sikhs and Hindus from the Punjab_State of India. Lohri marks the end of winter season and is a traditional welcomeof longer days in the northern regions of India. The Lohri is celebrated in Saffron_Public_School with great festivity. All Saffronians performed prayer around the fire. This is to show respect to the natural element of fire. Children came in traditional Punjabi_dresses and enjoyed singing folk songs near the bonfire and relished the sweet Gachak with peanuts and danced together.
